EXHIBITION INFORMATION SHEET
OPENING TIMES : Friday September 29th 12.00 noon to 6.00 pm        Official Opening by  :  Tombi Peck
                            Saturday September 30th 10.00 am to 5.00 pm                                   
ADMISSION : On the door : £4.00 each day : £7.00 for 2 days (Children under 15yrs, £3.00 each day)
Advance Tickets : £3.50 each day and £6.00 for 2 days - SAE & cheque (payable to "CelCrafts") to

DISPLAY AREA : There will be several areas for Cold Porcelain, Sugarcraft, Chocolate and Dessert Displays. It is anticipated that hundreds of cold porcelain and sugarcraft pieces will be on show throughout the exhibition, showing the scope and versitility of these crafts. You are invited to bring a piece of your work with you to display, and you will receive a Certificate of Appreciation for your involvement and a free entry into the Prize Draw! There will be feature displays of Egg Craft, Teddy Bears and Miniatures, and some specially staged cold porcelain and food displays, including : "Delightful Desserts". We will be giving prizes for the best exhibits.
COLLEGE/CLUB DISPLAYS : Display tables from several colleges and clubs are expected, including Nottingham Babes, Thomas Danby College, Leeds, Bradford Community College, Calderdale College, Bishop Burton College, Preston Cold Porcelain Club, some Craft Groups from Holland and Belgium and several of the Region 2 British Sugarcraft Branches.

FESTIVAL OF CHOCOLATE * : Our specialist area will once again focus on "Chocolate" this year, and we will have some exciting demonstrations and displays of chocolate and desserts for you to see! Don't miss the inspirational work of Jeroen Goossens, an internationally acclaimed chef from Holland who is regularly commissioned by the Dutch Royal Family to prepare desserts for Banquets etc.
SUGARCRAFT WORKSHOPS : Marcela Sanchez (Brazil), who is gaining a worldwide reputation for her work in sugar, will be sharing her exciting sugar modelling techniques. Workshop times and tickets available on the day.
MARZIPAN WORKSHOPS : Bart van Vliet, who runs an established family Bakery business in Holland, will encourage you to try out some of his marzipan modelling techniques. He will guide you through making exciting decorations in marzipan. Workshop times and tickets available on the day.
DEMONSTRATIONS : Many of the demonstrators are known internationally for their skills and expertise. Most of the 1 hour demonstrations will be covered with live video. Tickets, available in advance or on the day : £2.00 each, and Chocolate Tickets £3.00 each.

TRADE STANDS : Up to 16 Traders (including CelCakes & CelCrafts, The Old Bakery, Holly Products, Sunflower Sugar Art, Creating Cakes, Coronet Porcelain, Country Cutters, Patchwork Cutters, FMM, Confectionery Supplies, Papercrafts by lms, A Piece of Cake, Edable Art, The CakeMaker, Karen Davies, Alan Dunn Books and Dream Keepers) will be there, and many traders will be demonstrating from their stand.
TEACHERS TABLES : Teachers (inc. Tombi Peck, Alan Dunn, Claire Webb, Berri Heyes, Diane Harfield & Ron Myers) will display some of their work and during the Exhibition, some will be running "have a go" sessions, where up to three people per table can have "hands on" experience (there may make a nominal charge to cover materials).
SOCIETIES : Diane Harfield Miniatures, The Eggcrafters Guild of Great Britain, The British Sugarcraft Guild, The Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers, and Langdale Bears and Miniatures will have stands to promote their organisation and/or activities.
REFRESHMENTS : Refreshments will be available on each day (In-house catering by Craven Gilpin).
LOCATION : The Racecourse is situated to the south of York city centre.
By Car . . . . Leave the Ring Road (A64) at the Jnc with the A1036 and go towards York city centre. Follow signs for City Centre (A1036, Tadcaster Road). The Racecourse is approximately 1¼ miles, on the
right. After you pass the Marriott Hotel, which is on your right, take the next turn right into Knavesmire Road. Turn into the Main Racecourse Entrance Road and follow signs to the Car Park. There will be a limited number of Disabled Car Parking spaces available - if required, please apply for a special pass.
Exhibitors may use the unloading area (follow signs) prior to parking in Car Park or the overflow Car Park "D".
By Rail . . . If you have any queries on how to get to York station, train times etc. call the travel helpline on 0345 484950. A Taxi rank is situated just outside York railway station.

By Bus (From rail station / city centre) No.23 - catch this bus from Piccadilly (centre) or the railway station every half hour. Walk from the Knavesmire hotel bus stop, along Knavesmire Road to the racecourse entrance. For further timetable enquiries, contact First York on 01904 435637.
Racecourse Plan :
ACCOMMODATION : On the A64, about 5 miles to the west of York, there is a Travelodge (eastbound) and a Travel Inn (westbound), and many Hotels etc. in York.
